Orthopedic procedures we offer

The following procedures are a sample of the state-of-the art options we can provide as treatment for various orthopedic conditions:

Anterior hip replacement surgery

We offer the latest anterior hip replacement technique to provide patients with a minimally invasive alternative to traditional posterior hip replacement. Since there are fewer muscles in the front of the hip, the surgeon can work through muscle fibers instead of cutting through them to perform the hip replacement surgery.

Anterior hip replacement surgery can offer patients many benefits when compared to posterior hip replacement surgery, including:

  • Less pain
  • Less time in surgery
  • Less risk of complications
  • Shorter recovery times
  • Smaller incisions

Our surgeons use computer navigation, preoperative digital templating and intra-operative feedback software to perform anterior hip replacement surgery.

This advanced surgical technology and technique can offer patients many benefits when compared to posterior hip replacement surgery, including:

  • State-of-the-art noninvasive computer navigation
  • Preoperative digital templating and case planning
  • Intra-operative feedback software during anterior hip replacement surgery

Robot-assisted spinal fusion

Robot-assisted spinal fusion allows surgeons to plan and implement delicate procedures with unparalleled precision. Robot-assisted surgery offers patients with debilitating spinal conditions many benefits, including:

  • Lower complication rates
  • Reduced postoperative pain
  • Faster recovery times

Comprehensive Care for Joint Replacement (CJR)

Northside Hospital participates in Medicare's Comprehensive Care for Joint Replacement (CJR) program , which promotes high-quality, cost-efficient and better coordinated care for patients undergoing hip and knee replacement surgeries. Northside Hospital is working closely with its physicians and post-acute care providers to improve quality and coordinate care from initial hospitalization through recovery.

The CJR program permits facilities to enter into financial gain-sharing relationships with its collaborators to share in the success of the program.
