St. Petersburg, FL (September 30, 2015) -- The Neuroscience Institute at Northside Hospital is proud to welcome Board Certified Neurosurgeon Christopher J. Koebbe, MD. Dr. Koebbe comes to Northside Hospital from University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, Texas where he played a vital role in developing comprehensive stroke and aneurysm care in the south Texas region. Prior to that, Dr. Koebbe served as an active duty neurosurgeon in the US Air Force in San Antonio from 2007 to 2015 completing his service as the Chief of Neurosurgery at San Antonio Military Medical Center, a Level I Trauma Center.
As a Neurosurgeon, Dr. Koebbe will work closely with the Neuroscience Institute team, utilizing the latest techniques to relieve neurological conditions, such as stroke and cerebral aneurysms. Northside Hospital's Neuroscience Institute offers a biplane angiography machine, which can take advanced three dimensional images of the brain, spine and arteries to diagnose conditions.
In addition to stroke and aneurysms, Dr. Koebbe specializes in both cranial and minimally invasive vascular and spinal neurosurgery procedures emphasizing the comprehensive care of brain aneurysms, stroke, tumors, spinal disorders and chronic pain.
