Northside Hospital September 07, 2015

St. Petersburg, FL — Northside Hospital is proud to offer the community complimentary nutrition education classes, which are focused on those with heart failure, for whom there are many dietary restrictions. The classes are being offered in conjunction with the hospital’s new Heart Failure Clinic.

Patients with heart failure are often faced with a variety of dietary challenges, including eating less salt, understanding your fluid intake recommendations, adding potassium and fiber to your diet, and maintaining a healthy weight. With the guidance of a registered dietician, Northside Hospital is excited to be able to offer the community an opportunity to ask questions and understand their nutritional needs, in order to best control or improve their heart failure and symptoms.

vThis class will meet on the first Wednesday of each month at 10 a.m. in the Northside Hospital Auditorium (located in the Medical Office Plaza on the North end of campus, 6006 49th Street N., Suite 230, St. Petersburg, FL 33709). For eligibility information and to register, interested persons should call 1-888-598-9586.
