Northside Hospital will begin providing high risk colleagues the COVID-19 vaccine. This clinic will also to serve the colleagues of Largo Medical Center, Palms of Pasadena Hospital and St. Petersburg General Hospital.
“Safety is a top priority for us. We are excited to have the opportunity to provide the COVID-19 vaccine to not only our colleagues at Northside, but to those of our sister HCA facilities in our community,” said Valerie Powell-Stafford, CEO Northside Hospital.
“We are thrilled to be able to provide our colleagues who are at the highest risk the protection these COVID-19 vaccines provide,” explained Dr. Larry Feinman, Chief Medical Officer for HCA Healthcare West Florida. “We as colleagues are proud to lead the way out of this crisis by through vaccination and remaining vigilant about masking, social distancing, and handwashing as the number of positive COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations is growing across Tampa Bay, the state and the nation.
As additional supplies of vaccines become available, HCA Healthcare West Florida will add more clinics to ultimately offer the COVID-19 vaccine to all colleagues who wish to receive it. A recent HCA Healthcare West Florida survey showed that 88 percent of the responding colleagues wanted to be vaccinated.
