Jeffrey Witt, MD, FACC

Dr. Witt came to the Heart and Vascular Institute of Florida in 1992. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin. His MD degree was received from Abraham Lincoln School of Medicine at the University of Illinois. From there, Dr. Witt received his Internship and Residency training in Internal Medicine at Illinois Veterans Administration Hospital in Illinois, where he was also Chief of Medical Residents. He received his Fellowship training in Cardiology at Loyola University and Affiliated Hospitals in Maywood, Illinois.

Dr. Witt has served as Chairman of the Board at Suncoast Medical Clinic and Chairman of the Department of Medicine at Sun Bay Medical Center. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Diseases. Dr. Witt is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and a Member of the American College of Physicians as well as the American Medical Association. He has served as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of South Florida. He was a Founding Physician/Scientist Memeber of the Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography.  Dr. Witt participates in research activities at the Heart Institute and has been published most recently in the Canadian Journal of Cardiology and the American Journal of Cardiology.  He has received the "Best Doctors in America" by the US News and World Report since 2002.
