Common Procedures

  • Arterio-Venous Malformation Embolization
    • This minimally invasive procedure involves the insertion of a catheter ito the site of the AVM and delivers a glue-like substance to eliminate blood flow to the malformation.
  • Carotid Artery Stenting
    • Carotid Artery Stenting is a minimally invasive procedure that can be used to open narrowed carotid arteries. A catheter is inserted and advanced into the carotid artery, which can then be opened and/or stented.
  • Cerebral Aneurysm Coiling
    • Aneurysm Coiling involves  the insertion of a catheter to the site of the aneurysm.  Very small wires are then used to fill the aneurysm,  cutting off the blood flow to the clot and preventing rupture.
  • Computer Navigated Assisted Cranial & Spinal Surgery
  • Intravenous t-PA
    • When a stroke occurs, a patient may be a good candidate for t-PA, which is a drug that is injected into the blood stream  to dissolve the blood clot causing the stroke.
