Heart and Vascular Institute of Florida South joins the HCA network
(December 30, 2010, St. Petersburg, FL) – The Tampa Bay Heart Institute at Northside Hospital announced today that it will be acquiring The Heart and Vascular Institute of Florida South (HVIF) as part of the hospital’s long-term vision of becoming the leader in cardiovascular services in the Tampa Bay area. The integration of HVIF with The Tampa Bay Heart Institute will provide the community an enhanced level of cardiovascular care and continuity of services. The agreement will be effective January 1, 2011.

Daugherty. “Our partnership with the physicians and staff of The Heart and Vascular Institute of Florida South will allow us to provide a more integrated approach to the cardiovascular services we provide in the Tampa Bay area.”

HVIF has provided cardiovascular care to the community for more than 33 years. This acquisition will provide additional resources to allow HVIF to continue to expand their services throughout the community.
